As we have stated many times in these pages frame tents do not need guy ropes. This is true in all but the worst of conditions where we may add some bracing straps to ensure saftey. Even with out bracing straps frame tents can stand up to some pretty tough conditions. The brand we use, Walu, is used in many countries around the world including Russia and Canada where the stakes are actually driven into ice!
